An incredible book about a mother's strength to get her child to safety.
There were a couple of things that didn't sit right with me. The main one was that the main character just couldn't believe that the drug cartels came to her city. She was so naive about who the new jefe was - despite her husband being a drug cartel journalist. It just seemed unrealistic that she wouldn't be aware of the reality of what was happening.

This was the first book I've read by Agatha Christie and really enjoyed it! The narrator was incredible and could do some many different voices! I couldn't remember a lot of the characters' names, but that was my own fault - it would be a couple of days between each listen. Oops!
If you want a light, quick read, I highly recommend this!

I read this for an online book club and I struggled with it. It's not Lucy's best work. It felt rushed and certain aspects of the characters, when revealed, felt like they came out of nowhere. No real explanation nor any precursor to believe the "revelation" of the character.

Read this for a book club and it is a dystopian novel set in current day regarding the education system. If your 'Q' score drops you go to different schools and practically disappear.

It was a fun listen. A lot of characters to keep track of and it was hard to follow who was talking about who the main character was. Still a good read!

PLEASE CHECK TRIGGER WARNINGS!
I loved everything about this book! I have no triggers so this book was right up my alley! It was dark, possessive, and got me excited to read again! I can't give it enough stars.

Such a cute story! Emmy opens a bookstore and rents out the extra space to Ox, the hot tattoo artist.
This book really has made me want to do 2 things: 1) open my own bookstore; and 2) get another tattoo.
