Murry Summerfield has it all: he's a football star in his hometown, a dedicated farmer/animal caretaker, popular, and one of the nicest human beings. He's an overall golden retriever love interest. His life turns upside down when his new neighbor moves in across the field.
Jacob Durris is a city boy whose family moved him to the county to get a different pace at life. Jacob has a dark past that he's afraid to let Murry know about, thinking it would ruin their blossoming friendship/relationship.
This manga deals with a lot of hard issues: mental health issues, like dissociative identity disorder, depression, self-harm, and homophobia.
I went into reading this manga with very low expectations, and it blew those out of the water. It was a cute love story that brought to light an illness that isn't talked about often. You could really feel the love that Murry and Jacob have for each other.
